Choosing Your Hunting Adventure:
Before you embark on your hunting trip, it's essential to decide which game species you want to pursue. Swan Lake offers a wide variety of hunting opportunities, including pheasants, doves, waterfowl, deer, and even fishing. We offer group and youth hunting packages as well. Hunting at Swan Lake is an all-day opportunity. From the crack of dawn until sundown, there are countless adventures to take part in across the vast South Dakota landscape. Our team is available to help put together an itinerary that suits you.

All airports have car rental companies. Please get in touch with them to reserve a car if you are traveling by air.

Hunters are welcome to bring their own hunting dog. Dogs and kennels are included in your hunting package.
Please note that dogs are not allowed in lodges. Heated kennels are available.
The State of South Dakota requires all out of state dogs have current vaccinations.

Yes.
Licenses can be purchased online at the South Dakota Game Fish and Park website. Purchasing your license online ahead of time saves you time and is hassle-free, Simply select the date of your arrival and date your license to the appropriate dates and push the second week to the last week of the season, this can easily be changed when you decide to schedule your next trip. Licenses purchased after December 15th can be used for one week this year and you can carry a week for the following year.
